Message from our new President Connie Russell

ESA is a message of HOPE, FRIENDSHIP, and KNOWLEDGE                            I am honored to serve as your president this year, knowing every one of you will help me make it a fun and productive year.  Your commitment to ESA shows your dedication to your communities, the charities you support, and to making this a better world for everyone.

I chose IRIS as my symbol for several reasons. It was my mother's favorite flower and I wanted to keep her ESA years with me as I make this journey, The iris represents different things with each of its colors.

BLUE, which I love, symbolizes Hope and Faith.
Hope is an optimistic state of mind, with an expectation of a positive outcome. Nothing means anything without faith and hope. I have a little plaque in my bedroom that reads "HOPE is putting faith to work when doubting would be easier.." I have faith that everyone of you will help ESA Oregon continue to thrive and grow in the coming year.

YELLOW iris represents friendship and passion.
It is a great representation of ESA. Talk to any member and friendship always enters the conversation. Deep and everlasting friendships are the glue that holds us all together.  Please help me share that friendship.

The PURPLE iris represents wisdom, respect and power. We all have wisdom and knowledge we don't even realize we possess. Our duty is to share that knowledge with each other and spread it to others throughout our communities to make this a better world. Please use those opportunities to Connect with others and share our story of ESA.

Knowledge never stops giving. My hope is that we can share our knowledge and passion with each other and prospective members during this next year.

I want to thank each of you for your passion for ESA and a special thank you to my board and committee chairmen.  I couldn't do this without your friendship.
Let's make ESA no longer the BEST KEPT SECRET.
ESA is a message of deep and everlasting FRIENDSHIP, it's a HOPE for a better future, and the wisdom to share our KNOWLEDGE.
