Welcome to ESA Oregon!
We touch the lives of others while changing our own.
ESA International is a not-for-profit, philanthropic service organization begun in Texas in 1929. It has evolved to a membership of over 10,000 women and men in over 200 chapters throughout the United States, Canada, and Australia.
The Oregon State Council was formed in 1946.
Our Oregon membership continues our support, both financial and with service, of our international project – St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, our state project – Easter Seals of Oregon, and our newest national project – Hope for Heroes. We have been with St. Jude since Danny Thomas visited with us in 1972, here in Oregon, and asked us to help him realize his dream - 'that the children should live’. We have given and pledged over $220 million since then. Since 1949 Easter Seals continues to receive the benefit of much of our state-wide focus while our 22 chapters around the state also give generously to their individual community causes.
Within our chapter and state meetings, we strive to educate ourselves continually and regularly hold workshops which both educate and promote leadership... as well as being lots of FUN! The members develop leadership capabilities through local and national events as well as conferences.
Serving the World Community Because We Care
Our ESA Foundation, established in 1970, is our Non-Profit, Tax Exempt arm and promotes furthering education and altruistic activities that make a positive difference. They provide Endowments, Turn-around Funding, Scholarships, and Grants.
